The Lady Pioneers rebounded Sunday afternoon from a loss on Saturday to beat Belmont Abbey Reserves 3-1.
Kacee Merritt (Columbia, SC) scored a great goal six minutes into the match. Kacee took a full volley from a cross by Caroline Keener (North Myrtle Beach, SC). Caroline Keener scored the second goal in the 80th minute when Alex Tutterow (Boiling Springs, SC) slid the ball through for a breakaway and Caroline dribbled past the keeper to put it in an empty net.. The last goal was scored by Teta Alexander (Savannah, GA) assisted by Courtney Tutterow (Boiling Springs, SC)
SMC returns to action Tuesday as they host Montreat College Reserves at 4:00pm
