Lady Pioneers win on Sophomore Day

The Lady Pioneers had their final home game of the 2014 regular season Sunday and won 2-0 over Patrick Henry CC (Martinsville, VA). After a 0 – 0 first half the ladies scored two goals in the second half.  The goals were scored by Teta Alexander (Savanah, GA)at the 57th  minute and Ashley Justice (Travelers Rest, SC) at the 70th minute. The assist for the game were by Kacee Merritt (Columbia, SC) and Morgan Towery (Cowpens, SC).

Instead of writing  about each sophomore individually here is what they have accomplished as a class.  This class as of now is 24-6-3 one of the winningest classes in Lady Pioneer history.  They have scored 120 goals while only giving up 38.  They have two players Caroline Keener and Alex Tutterow with a chance to be in the top 10 in total points since 1997 and two more players Teta Alexander and Ashley Justice with a chance to be in the top 25 since 1997.

Off the field this class has the highest GPA at a 3.2 overall for any Lady Pioneer class.  The players in this class are; the Goalkeepers  Taylor Bolin from White Knoll High School home town Columbia, SC and Kaila McLure from Pendleton HS hometown  Anderson, SC.  Next the forwards Teta Alexander from Calvary Day Academy in her  hometown Savannah , GA, Bonnie Walls from Wren HS, hometown  Piedmont, SC. Rhea Pesaro from Dorman HS hometown Spartanburg , SC. Alex Tutterow from Boiling Springs HS hometown Boiling Springs , SC. Jessica McKinney from Boiling Springs HS hometown Spartanburg SC. Defender Christina Diaz from Blue Ridge HS hometown Greer SC. Midfielders Samantha Kee Travelers Rest HS hometown Travelers Rest.  Ashley Justice from Travelers Rest HS, hometown Greenville SC and Caroline Keener from North Myrtle Beach HS hometown North Myrtle Beach SC.
