Men's Track and Field Duo Earn CAC Athlete of the Week Honors
SPARTANBURG, S.C. - Spartanburg Methodist College men's track and field student-athletes, Romeo Brown - a sophomore from Newberry and Javion Brannon - a freshman from Union were named the Continental Athletic Conference Men's Track and Field Athletes of the Week on Monday for their performance on Saturday at the SWU/Susan Rouse Invitational.
On the track, Brown clocked the second fastest times in program history in the 100m dash and the 200m dash. He placed second in the 200m in 22.34 and was third in the 100m in 10.70. Brannon made a splash with his jump of 5.81m on his first leap as a collegiate jumper at SMC at the SWU/ Susan Rouse Invitational. The jump to date is the best in the CAC.
