
Romeo Brown Sets PRs in the 100 and 200 to Lead SMC Track and Field at Berry Field Day Invite
Spartanburg, S.C. – Spartanburg Methodist College sophomore Romeo Brown delivered a pair of season-best performances in the 100m and 200m dash at the Berry Field Day Invite, leading the Pioneers men's track and field team on Saturday.
Brown won the 200m with a time of 21.11 and placed third in the 100m with a time of 10.57. Both marks are season bests for Brown, and his 200m time currently ranks 11th in the NAIA this season.
Also in the 100m, Parker Balog and Jared Chinloy each set personal records with times of 11.15 and 11.25, respectively. Balog also posted a PR in the 200m with a time of 22.66.
In the 1500m, Caleb Williams shaved five seconds off his personal best, clocking in at 4:19.70, while Dylan Seppala cut eight seconds from his PR with a time of 4:29.55.
In field events, John Jones recorded a season-best mark in the discus with a throw of 47 feet, 3 inches (14.40m).
