Lady Pioneers Kept the Indians Scoreless, Winning 7-0

The Women's soccer team traveled to Allendale, SC to take on Region 10 opponent, USC Salkehatchie. Kaylee Damsen got on the scoreboard 16 minutes into the game with the assist going to Alanna Hilton. One minute later, Beyonce Williams doubled the score after a great passing connection from Addison Crump and Hilton. Beyonce got her 2nd goal of the day at the 23rd-minute mark. Hilton and Kayla Freeman were on the assists. Alanna Hilton and Shiloh Worth would round out the scoring in the first half to make the score 5-0 at halftime. Assists went to Mattie Monnet, Sydney Arellano, and Maria Mercado. Gwen Orr had 3 saves in the first half. The second half saw two goals by the Pioneers. Myleigh Shaw got her first goal of the season after another great passing connection from Hilton and Williams. Kaylee finished the scoring with her second game goal from Hilton and Arellano. Abby Fisher relieved Gwen Orr in goal for the last 15 minutes and recorded 2 saves.

The Lady Pioneers came away with a 7-0 win. SMC moves to 6-1 and 3-0 in Region 10.

They travel to Bob Jones University on 9.22 at 7:00 pm.

The ladies return home on 9.25 at 1:00 pm to take on Gordon State.
