Hana Vucinic Named CAC Defender of the Week

SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Spartanburg Methodist College volleyball standout Hana Vucinic was selected for Continental Athletic Conference Defender of the Week recognition on Monday.

The first year NAIA program has secured six weekly honors from the conference office with Vucinic being the first repeat winner. At last week’s CAC Classic in Lawrence, Kansas, Vucinic averaged 5.29 digs per set in the five matches. 

On 13 occasions, she has had double-digit digs with a season high of 30 against Fisher on Friday, October 11. For the season, Vucinic is averaging 3.69 digs per set.

Up next, the SMC volleyball team will host a doubleheader against Clinton College on Wednesday at 4 and 6 p.m. as part of Dig Pink Night.
