
Brantlie Price and Makinnley Smart Earn All-Tourney Honors from the CAC
SPARTANBURG, S.C. - Spartanburg Methodist College sophomore Brantlie Price and junior Makinnley Smart were recently selected to the 2024 Continental Athletic Conference Volleyball Championship All-Tournament Team. Price and Smart led the Pioneers to the semifinals of the conference championship where they lost to Florida College on Saturday.
For Price, she had 33 kills with a .293 hitting percentage and 53 digs in the three matches with a double double (17 kills and 21 digs) in a four-set loss to Florida National. Prior to the tournament, she was named first team all-CAC.
For Smart, she posted 28 kills to go along with three block solos and five block assists in the three matches for SMC. Along with Price, she was named first team all-CAC.
Both were key contributors to the SMC volleyball program, who began NAIA action in 2024 with an 18-19 mark.
