Kevin Cotrell is in his first season as the head men's and women's golf coach at Spartanburg Methodist College.

Cotrell comes to SMC after gaining valuable experience as a Golf Tournament Director and Golf Caddy/Instructor to go along with serving as a coach with the football and lacrosse teams at Spartanburg High School. 

Prior to coming to SMC, he spent 17 years been a FAA Air Traffic Controller/Training Specialist, where he has had to manage complex situations under pressure, demonstrate decision-making abilities for the safe management of aircraft. 

Prior to entering the coaching ranks, Cotrell served in the US Navy as a Petty Officer where he was involved with sport-related activities, both as a player and coordinator of events.
