Bio

Tiffany Walker is entering her seventh year as an Athletic Trainer at Spartanburg Methodist College in 2016-17. Walker is responsible for injury prevention, evaluation and rehabilitation for the Pioneers’ athletic programs.

Walker comes to SMC from Newberry College, where she served for two years as an Assistant Athletic Trainer. While at Newberry, Walker worked with the school’s football, men’s basketball, volleyball, cheerleading and tennis programs as well as Newberry’s NCAA Division II Runner-up wrestling team.

Prior to Newberry, Walker completed two one-year internships at Santa Fe Community College and Fort White High School while receiving her Master of Science degree in Applied Physiology and Kinesiology from the University of Florida in 2008. While at Santa Fe, Walker provided athletic training care for the school’s basketball, baseball and 2008 NJCAA Division I National Runner-Up Softball programs and served as a clinical advisor for undergraduate athletic training students.

Walker also completed a one-year athletic training internship at the Florida Institute of Technology from 2005 to 2006, working with the volleyball, basketball, tennis, crew, baseball and softball programs.

Walker received her Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training and Sports Medicine from the University of Tampa in 2005.

She currently resides in Spartanburg.
