Emiya Gallman Named CAC Women's Basketball Defensive Player of the Week

SPARTANBURG, S.C. - Spartanburg Methodist College senior forward Emiya Gallman was named the Continental Athletic Conference Women's Basketball Defensive Player of the Week on Monday. Gallman averaged 9.7 rebounds along with having five blocks in three games against CAC opponents. The 6-foot-1 center anchored the Pioneers’ defense. The Columbia, South Carolina, native had 10 rebounds and two blocked shots in a 72-58 win against Morris College (South Carolina) last Monday. Gallman added eight rebounds and three blocked shots in a setback to Washington Adventist University (Maryland) last Friday. The senior followed by grabbing 11 rebounds in a victory against Fisher College (Massachusetts) last Saturday.
