SPARTANBURG, SC., SMC Men's Basketball (4-2) earned their second win in a row by defeating Louisburg College (4-3) on Saturday afternoon 90-69. The Hurricanes were averaging 95.6 points per game before they faced the Pioneers on Homecoming in Bridges Arena.
Malik Gaffney (Gaffney, SC / Blacksburg High) and Marquise Simuels (Columbia, SC / AC Flora High) paced the Pioneers one again. Gaffney scored a team high 25 points while Simuels dropped 21 and recorded another double-double. Anthony Adger (Iva, SC / Crescent High) added his own double double with 19 points and 10 assists.
The Pioneers will return to the court on Monday at 7:00pm as they play host to Catawba Valley Community College (3-0).
