MARTINSVILLE, VA- The SMC Women's Soccer (8-1) won the PHCC Patriot Classic Cup, by beating Frederick CC 4-0. SMC struck early with a Sara Dorsett (Travelers Rest, SC) goal at the two minute mark the goal was assisted by Kacee Merritt (Cayce,SC). The Pioneers increased their lead to 2-0 at the 22 minute mark on a Ciera Smith (Columbia, SC)goal, it was assisted by Khalila Hargrave (Anderson,SC). Kacee Merritt had the third goal a minute before halftime assisted by Courtney Tutterow (Boiling Springs, SC). Finishing the scoring was Hope Smith (Woodruff, SC) assisted by Marcella Damas (Brazil).
The Pioneers return to action on October 1st as they host USC Salkehatchie
