Gracie Starnes Repeats as CAC Hitter of the Week

SPARTANBURG, S.C. – For the second-straight week, Spartanburg Methodist College junior Gracie Starnes picked up weekly honors as the Continental Athletic Conference Softball Hitter of the Week.

Starnes batted .857 as the Pioneers extended their winning streak to five consecutive games. The outfielder collected six hits in seven at bats in games at the Fastpitch Dreams Classic in North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

The Wagener, South Carolina, native had two hits in an 8-0 win against Cedar Crest College (Pennsylvania) last Tuesday before collecting three hits and scoring twice against Rosemont College (Pennsylvania) later in the day. She also successfully stole four bases during the week.
