Bryan Bayonne Named CAC Offensive Player of the Week

SPARTANBURG, S.C. - Spartanburg Methodist College senior guard Bryan Bayonne was named the Continental Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Offensive Player of the Week on Monday.

Bayonne averaged 26.3 points and 6.3 rebounds to lead the Pioneers to a 2-1 record in three games last week, with two against CAC opponents at Fisher College (Massachusetts) last weekend. The guard played nearly every minute of each contest. The Baton Rouge, Louisiana, native made seven 3-point field goals and made 24 of his 27 from the free throw line. Bayonne scored 28 points to go along with six rebounds in SMC’s 78-71 win against Fisher last Saturday.

 It is the fifth weekly honor for Bayonne, who has received defensive player of the week honors on three occasions and being selected offensive twice.
