Richard Rojas Named CAC Defensive Player of the Week
SPARTANBURG, S.C. - Spartanburg Methodist College freshman guard Richard Rojas has garnered the Continental Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Defensive Player of the Week award as the 2024-25 season nears postseason play.
Rojas averaged 6.5 rebounds and 2.5 blocked shots across two games for the Pioneers. He had three blocks and grabbed three rebounds in the narrow setback to Carolina. Rojas followed with 10 rebounds and two more blocked shots in a 85-84 win over Mid-Atlantic Christian University (North Carolina) last Saturday.
