Bryan Bayonne Named CAC Men's Basketball Defensive Player of the Week
SPARTANBURG, S.C. - Spartanburg Methodist College senior men's basketball guard Bryan Bayonne was named the Continental Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week on Monday. It is the second weekly honor for Bayonne and the third in four weeks for SMC men's basketball. Bayonne posted 22 points, nine rebounds and 2.5 steals across two outings last week for the Pioneers. The guard had a double-double performance with 29 points and 10 rebounds in a 74-72 loss to Voorhees University (South Carolina) last Tuesday. The Baton Rouge, Louisiana, native then added 15 points and eight rebounds in an 83-79 loss to Columbia College (South Carolina) last Saturday.
